NeutralR1 I am not sure what form of advice I coul give after all of the wonderful Ideas everyone else has given so far. I think you are doing wonderful so far, and should keep it monotoned, and not add color, because it will turn out better.

hucksgirl The "apple" of her cheek could be lowered on the bottom a little. Just a few more layers of shading is all you need to complete it. Once you have a darkened piece, and I agree about the dark background, you could add a few bright turqoise beads to her hair piece to really add variety and "pop."

cohnwrithe A slight darkening of the background would really make her pop on the paper. I wish I could see a good scan of this. I love the braid and headpiece. I know I've commented already, but knew you wouldn't mind. Lemme know if you need a little help. Seems to me you're on the right track already though. :)

tswieberg Beautiful, I see a woman that is very strong and has a lot of dignity. I am not sure what twichims is talking about when she says the hair needs to look less solid. I think her hair looks really good. Her nose and her mouth look like they are proportioned nicely and I just love her braid. You have done an awesome job on her Shell and I can't wait to see the finished piece.

twichims The sketch is off to a very good start. Everything seems to be proportioned very well. If this is an elderly woman she will need more shading to accentuate than in her features, and I would try to get the hair to look less solid, every hair is not needed to be drawn- only the ones that bring out the shadows. But I really like were this is going, hope I was some help

joguff1977 It would be awesome to see some bead design above the braid. You are right about the Hair keep working it. The feather has a great start but It should be larger and more full. Keep working on him his face is great to me.
