Dance for life, lay way later on death
Ten little couples, dancing on the floor
One had a drink and then their was four
Four little couples dancing on the floor
Two stepped off, stung with the clash n a cough
Three little couples dancing on the floor
Choked on their chew and then their were two
Two little couples dancing on the floor
Two little people, had to much fun, they went off and left it to one
One little couple happy as can be, they walked off, ever so happily
If you do ponder and wonder what happened to these people, they went up the stairs, it's all fare
This is the dance of death and of life they all die in age they were never high
If you don't believe then you may see, that last couple, one in the two was me
We all went off safely as you can tell, all under the dance floor, strobe lights and a spell
Love never lasts, so grab it while you can, all the memories are worth, all in the end, take it while you can give life the bend
The blind man watched all in his hear, in his mind, he saw art
Mute whispers to his deft friend, the young are the future, as old people we end
Dance on life, and lay on death, let us live while we have our breath
Happily as you can see, I do believe they all walked off in glee
Walked her home, cold to the bone so I gave her my coat as I breathed in the cold
Falls night air, love in the air, take every breath, as if it's the best
