its good for me

I was new to this. I was young and you were not born. I wanted a sign that i had what it took to be responsible for you, no mistakes. Then you kicked through me. Little flickering drumbeat thumps. The very awareness of the presence of your stretching feet, kicked life into me, doubt away from me.

I am no longer new to this. I have worries plaguing me. Unanswered questions and realizations- wrecking the very surface of me. Then one day we were sitting in our new car, The music tricks you to slam your growing feet, into the back of my seat. a reminder, Can something this simple make mommy feel undefeated, optimistic and complete?
