Heart Broken

When I looked into your deepest eyes I thought you were the one

What ever happened to those beautiful days we spent having fun

Can you ever forget our first kiss in the ocean under the sun

Little did I know then that soon our days together would be done

When I handed you my heart you took a piece of my soul

From that point on I knew I could never let you go

With you I went from the highest high to the lowest low

 now all that is left is the smell of perfume on my pillow say it aint so

Why must it be that half of all marrages tend to fail

Where is the wind when you need most to sail

Is it the routine that becomes old and stale?

Or is it just time for the old train to get on the next rail?

You can move on and release the pain from the past

But if you ignore the problems they come back fast

I will never forget the all we had the love that we amassed

I loved once before and I swear it wont be my last
