You lied

Distant

Riding atop ivory-crusted crest,
I tumble without rest.
Blame me if I can't stand this test,
And then leave me, distant.

Running over grey-slate sidewalk,
I listen, I can't talk.
Curse me if I don't know where to knock,
And then leave me, distant.

Revolving through blue-old time,
I bring with me nothing but grime.
Shun me if I forget how to rhyme,
And then leave me, distant.
