Happier Place

As I lay here on the ground, waiting for somone to let me be found,

I look to an angle, and what do I see? A tall man in black, standing behind a tree.

The look in his eyes, none like another.

For it is dark and cold, like an unforgiving brother.

He stares at me for minutes, without ever moving an inch.

But I can't run, nor scream, nor cry, or even try to flinch.

Another moment passes, with his empty evil glare,

then he slowly starts moving toward me,

and I seem to see him everywhere.

He comes into clear view, and I turn frighteningly blue,

for I feel I can no longer breath,

he then takes my hand, and I somehow manage to stand,

and he whispers, "My looks are not to deceive.

For I have come from the land of none, awaiting you and your soul.

But do not fear, I will make it clear,

that this is any but what the Devil's done.

To you I am Death, and I take your last breath,

for you no longer need it here."

Then I looked around, and to my astound,

it all seems to now be clear.

I see so many angelic faces,

the scene too heavenly to describe.

I look down and see my loved ones frown,

because now I'm by the Lord's side.

I say please don't cry, wipe the tears from your eyes,

do not leave one single trace.

My loved ones, know, that the suffereing's ended it's show,

and now I'm in a happier place.
