So Far

How can I love you when you're so far away?

Do you really love me? I guess it's hard to say.

You say you'll always be there,

though you don't really know where.

You can say you love me all you want.

But it only seems to be a taunt.

I can't describe my feelings for you.

The words I think of will probably never do.

I know I can't be where you are.

Why do you have to be so far?

So far that I can't feel your touch on me.

So far that it will never be.

So far that you will never be mine.

Though you say that it will all be fine.

"Everything will be alright",

are the words that leave you mouth,

but how can you say that, when I'm in so much doubt.

The doubt of us ever being one,

the doubt of us never being done.

I think of you as mine, but she has us both in a bind.

You kknow I'll always love you,

no matter what you think of me.

But because you're so far away,

I think we both know that it could never be.
