Lovely Eyes
When I look into your lovely eyes,
I am pulled towards a place beyond the skies,
the way before me a well-worn golden street,
which I have reached through a single feat.
I have given love,
and received love thereof.
Many others have walked this way,
and as I watch, some fall away,
into darkness, into despair,
I turn away shuddering to stare,
into your lovely eyes,
and am pulled closer towards that place beyond the skies.
