Haterful Skies |
Giving into Growing Up
Sheath the katana near the figurines
Displayed on a tube, such an old machine
Worn-out paper comes unstuck, curling off the walls
So roll those posters up and toss aside
A little Lego man inside has died
Feelings of regret tape over your cassettes
Fill that collectible cup with buds of cigarettes
Smoke-damage robots cough pieces of a model
Drowning sorrows in a bottle
Plastic ships wont sail tomorrow like a dragon
On the seas, in a land called Hannah Lee
Pollution in the breeze so he slips into a sleep
Back into his cave; reefs turn a foggy grey
Dark waves corrupt the bay and a ship docks in the rain
Armor, swords, and flame march a trail to where he lay
They’re out to slay, he says “okay” just like you
When all was said you broke down and came unglued
Its only you who turned you blue, buying into other’s truths
You threw away your jewels, replacing them with tools
Now your sickly and confused, don’t know what to do
In a world where nothings right and nothings new
Just remember it was all done by you
so boo-hoo boo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo
