Haterful Skies |
Sweet Dreams My City
Sweet dreams my city
Asleep by my feet
Lullaby wind blows
Forever
Your lights have dimmed down
And the post office closed
All that’s left now, child
Is silence
And I read from a book
That’s lit in cupped hands
A nightlight of comforts
To sooth us
We both crave tranquility
Of a mother’s lost kiss
So we lay down our heads
Together
