I wonder if he’ll look at me,

For even just a passing glance,

In that moment of eternal glee,

My heart will sing and dance,

For, in just that instant, that one momentary stare,

I’ll see him and I holding hands,

And being more than cherished friends,

But that quick moment fades away,

Along with my secret plea,
