Crazy Hands

Pianists:::

Little taps

Blurs of fingers

Soft and lovingly caressed

Sharp and pouncing

Those hands that see the sound of music

The fingers finding the keys

The spirit of music flowing through

How do they do that?

It’s always a wonder to me

The gift of idle hands

It’s almost unbelievably supernatural.

Painters:::

Picking up a brush handle

Holding it lightly against the palms

Held in mid air

And with certain agility

Slashing upon the canvas

Hands that see the truth of art

Seeing the great idea

Long swipes

Short dashes

Little blots

Big waves

Lines, curves, shapes, color

How do they capture that image?

The hands perform out a dance

Using the brush as a prop

Putting the inspiration onto the paper and making it come alive

Writers:::

Be it typing insanely out on keyboards of a computer

Or

Hand writing achingly upon a notebook with pens and pencils

Passionate words typed/written out

Ideas of such extraordinary inspirations

Putting feelings and thoughts right into words

Making sense of such being

Poets

Journalists

Novelists

Those that give meaning through expression of words to reason

Drummers:::

Tap, tap, taaap

Dum, dum-dum, dum-chiiing…

Slow motions using flicking of the wrist

Fast and hard movements that make such impact

Sticks thrown and flipped

Twirling about and caught again to be rejoiced with the beating of the drums

Gamers:::

Thumb movements

Moving in odd ways

Like a bobble head

Pressing the buttons

Pushing and holding

Quick and sharp hits

Up

Down

Right

Left

Depending on what system console

Play Station 1, 2, 3

Xbox 360

Nintendo (game cube, game boy, Wii)

Sometimes playing for hours upon hours

Trying to beat the game

Finding addictions and complications

Gripping the controller too long sometimes that your hands go numb

And yet…

With thumbs aching

You just can’t seem to put it down or turn it off

Hands that have become apart of the game

Bladecjc the gamers part killed it i think, im a writer, an artist (digital), and a gamer....but all of sudden the poem was about what happens with your hands--not some passionate ability you have.

tswieberg Wow, I love the writing but it makes it kinda hard to read. The poem is a unique writing which of course I like. Your imagination is incredible. I like this one.
