But I Stand My Ground |
But I Stand My Ground
- I'm sorry I let you be the Scapegoat for my mistakes all these years.
- I'm sorry I ran away and left you to take all the pain, the punishment, and the shame.
- I'm sorry I didn't say sorry before you died.
- I'm sorry I didn't learn soon enough...
- But I Stand My Ground now because I learned that, yeah, it is easier to run, but in the end you turn out to regret it.
- So I am saying that if I could take back all the pain and all the misery my cowardness had cost you...I would.
- When you died I learned this lesson: It's easier to run, but when you stand your ground you gain strength and lose fear.
- And now I still feel overwhelmed and I want to run far away, But I Stand My Ground because of you...
