Really I tried

Reverends, fathers, nuns, and saints

Wouldn’t have taken that stride

It is your side

I choose to stand by

When I made those vows

And made you my wife

Choices we all make

Chances we take

A reckless decision you made

Like a quarterbacks audible to our fates

I do love primates

But not that monkey your back

And your opiate dreams

Has allowed it to become an ape in fact

A lifetime of devotion

Indeed my guarantee

But your Colombian potion

Has taken its toll on me

To cause such a sinful affair

It must possess a caiman like grasp

I grow weary of catching you there

Snorting off of that reflective glass

I am at a cerebral loss

I know not my next course of action

What I know is that our child cannot be

A part of your “coked” liquefaction

Though you’ve become my world

“She” has become my universe

Or I fear that “Silverback’s” sheer might will pound you into a hearse
