Erroneous Delusions
You won What else could he have possibly said? A well crafted snare An original design, encompassing him in Cautious his nature is Yet the potential reward far outweighed The risk of further damage from deceit Your warped mirrors and honey scented smoke provided for him an illusion he could not see past You must be a direct descendant of Geppetto With those marionette skills His strings you gingerly nudged too Gleefully unaware was he of you reeling him in Borderline paranoia or just incredibly cautious However you choose to define it Meticulous was he in his search for signs of cloaked deceit Scrutinizing every detail for signs that would forebode the likelihood of being trapped in that revolving door of his past He found none Much to your diabolic delight Deep in the still waters of despair was he His rescuer he believed you to be I mean what other purpose could there be To descend as low as he was is not a simple feat You had him. Surely you were aware of this Yet you sought only break him further Expertly you blinded him in your mist All he could see was you. There would be no other You revived him Renewed him Renewed interest Renewed vigor Renewed life lust Renewed for naught Macabre would best describe your actions Lady Puppeteer At his best you had him It was at his best you destroyed him Basking in your dishonest light he noticed not your severing the strings He collapsed. Strings fell both on and beside him He cannot move, he cannot scream All he can do is lie there clueless as to what just transpired He knew he was your puppet and simply hoped you simply slipped shall soon pick up the strings He hoped for naught Unaware he was of your pre-planned solitary exodus Unaware was he of your ability to save him Only do decimate what was already fragile Your performance was exemplary You won What more could he possibly say What more is there to say Facts are hitting him like a thunderous clap You should know this You hurt him and he is forever changed and not for the better Too good of a man is he to think ill of how you treated him I do not have such a handicap You believe you won Your victory was actually pyrrhic one For it came at the cost of both of your futures And in time you will look to have the damage you caused sutured. It will not heal and that is your loss. No amount of puppet work can help you then. Tragic. Douglas S. Williams

| Do you know what made Picasso's paintings so great?
He kept going on,without stopping, when he should have for some,he continued.
You function the same way. |

| VERY good poem... your style is kind of unique, and you have a way of tip-toe-ing around an idea and yet saying exactly what you mean at the same time. I love it! |
