Drunk Driver

He looks at me

and I stare back

into his eyes,

they're coals of black

his eyes were once

so full of light

before that sad

and fateful night

they shown with vigor

they could brighten you day

till one drunk driver

took that away

he saw the whole thing

helpless as could be

he stood their scared

by the old apple tree

the driver got drunk

at his party that night

the left feely merry

said they were all right

so him, having fun

let the drive leave

i know now he wishes

that he just hadnt believed

he feels its his fault

and i fell bad for him true,

but my poem is my warning

don;t let it happen to you
