Never Want to Forget

The hiss of breath through teeth,
even though the sighting was brief
but in the dawn, before the sky is blue
it actually hurts me to look at you.
You'll never be mine, I will never see that day
I take it as a symbol that you walk a different way.
In the crowd you may as well shine
I can't not see you, with these eyes of mine.
It's always worse on days that you try to hide
behind those frames our eyes still collide
and that sea storm blue etches you in my mind
my memory will hold you even if I go blind.
I never want to forget these days, here and now
because I love you, I don't want to forget the ways how.
I can't say this will last forever, I can't look past my dreams
