Happy Birthday |
Happy Birthday
I'd wish you happy birthday,
but I wouldn't know what to say
because I don't know what I think of you
or who first walked away.
Don't know if you deserve it,
can't tell if you're alright.
Bring me up, take me down.
Should I smile or frown?
I used to think I knew you,
but I was clearly wrong.
You always never knew me,
guess you waited too long.
We don't know each other,
but I know what we are:
Strangers;
only not quite.
Well happy birthday, stranger.
That's all I have to say.
Don't know quite what I think of you;
or why you cross my mind every day.
