Adrift I would be

Could this be....a mirrored image of me.

So small, will so strong.....against this world you choose to belong.

Fighting to breathe.....not wanting to leave.

The machines help ou hold on....me....I am praying for you my son.

Your body so small it is true....your heart so weak and new.

Look in my eyes and you will see....all the love of you flows through me.

The hope and strength I give to you.

Please dear God let me keep your gift....for without him I would be adrift.

	Wow, This touches home for me...I lost a baby boy many years ago...he was born way too early and his lungs were not developed. He only weighed 1-lb and 9oz.s. I named him Scott Chase. He lived for five weeks and died on Thanksgiving day 1983. They put him in my arms for the first time and turned off the ventilator.....he slipped away as I was holding him.
