Teach 'em While They're Young |
Goodbye
I thought it was gone, freedom only a few steps ahead.
I had escaped.
I could finally live in peaceful bliss again.
Little did I know,
It was right behind me all along,
Keeping up with my every smile, laugh, skip, and leap.
It’d been so long… so very long….
I thought it was gone forever…
When it hit, it hit with extreme fury,
Wreaking havoc upon me.
Making me return,
To that fateful self,
That self id only met 6 months ago.
That self in which id learned to fear,
To run from at all costs.
I can’t run anymore,
It’s become too difficult…
I’m going to sit.
Sit in this chaotic turmoil,
And sink until I am no longer able.
Deeper and deeper I fall,
Will you stop to save me?
Reach out your hand and grasp mine?
Pull me from this destructive hell called my mind?
I thought not.
Goodbye dear, for I will be completely gone soon,
My body still existent,
But the former self in which you’d known,
Will most definitely be gone,
I will descend into nothingness, as was predestined.
There’s no use fighting it,
I’ve grown far too tired and weak,
This journey cannot be made alone,
I’ve come to realize that,
But it didn’t stop you from leaving,
Moving on without me,
What happened to the happy ending we so deeply planned?
My heart, I was selfish with, I know,
But now I’m left crying, needing you more than ever,
Knowing I’m all alone, and will be, until I’m done sinking into nothingness.
So much for my happy ending.

| It may've taken a year, but looks like you moved on from Ben pretty well, eh? |
