I Rise |
Adolescence
Warm wetness slithering down, like a poisonous snake, salty mist is reaching trying to pry open the crack of my lips. Something is missing, searching desperately like a mother searching for her child. A hunger for something new, but so caught up in schedules we don’t have time for something new. Stuck in such a world, a world with hate, killing, broken hearts. Where’s the beauty? The beauty that makes us appreciate this world, that makes us feel special. Wishing time to stop so we can swallow our hunger for love, care and beauty, because it vanishes like the moon on a cold early morning. Looking down at water, seeing the reflection of a person, they may be beautiful on the outside, but screaming for attention in the inside. So many questions that want to be answered but no one takes the time to answer them. adolescence that what it is called.
