Dear Satan

Dear Satan
(Verse 1)
Dear Satan,
I really need you to hear me
I know you’ve been given power
And have no reason to fear me
You have a way with words
That makes them easy to believe
But every time I listen
I can’t help but to feel deceived
When I’m alone you talk to me
Tell me that the world is out to get me
And you want to see me punish them
Put them in their place
And never run from them
You want to see me start a fight
Because you know that tonight
It’s just the thing
That will ruin my life
I’m sick an tired of taking your advice

Branded and stranded

Vindictive falsities

I hate the cold pain of
Deranged anxiety

I never want to live another day

For the things you do
We were friends for a while
But I’m finally starting to see the truth
You took the fact
That I’m impatient and opinionated
Turned it into reasons
To fear, and feel hatred
I’ll stand outside
Watching myself explode
Screaming cause I can’t
Jettison my cargo
The pressure
The pain
The heart left as cold as ice
