step outside into the lonely dark night
The stars shine down but no moon in sight
The weight of the world falls to rest in my head
I speak to hear the quiet whispers of the dead

No voices are heard only the gentle wind
I feel the crushing rock of that I'm pinned
That way is up, and this is down and here in me
The slow but certain feeling of that which is free

I take my time and listen to my heart
I feel it beat and know Ill never be a part
Of this wicked world that is beyond repair
