Underneath the Stars

Underneath the stars is where i go at night.

It is my secret escape.

I place i call my own.

When everyone is sleeping i sneak out and lay

I lay on the dewy, damp grass and look up at the shining objects in the sky.

They amaze me and make me think.

I think how small i really am in this big scary world,

and what i must do and risk to make a difference in it.

It's truly a magical site.

Somewhere i love to be.

I close my eyes and dream

Of what i will become, of what i will be.

It is how i get away from everything, where i become mesmerized.

But one day,

when i am something,

when i am someone,

i will always remeber,

my special place,

underneath the stars <3
