Don't Touch It Again |
Hope
5,000 miles to the nearest sight of hope.
When you slapped me,
I had to find a way to cope.
No one wants to listen,
No one wants to see,
How they could help,
If they would look at me.
In my eyes,
Can’t you see the pain?
In my heart,
I can’t contain.
Why do you like hurting me?
I know sometimes we disagree,
And there’s no way for me to flee,
So please,
Let me be.
In this heart of mine,
I see a love so divine,
It’s so unreal.
A love where you hug someone,
And tell them it’ll be okay.
A love where you sit there,
And say nothing,
And yet it feels so right,
Because that person is in sight.
Everything seems so clear,
The future, the present,
But my mind is blurred in fear.
Can you find me and do these things?
Hug me,
Sit there with me,
Empathize with me.
These tears falling on my arms
Are like acid rain,
Please take me from this harm,
Please tell me I’m insane for thinking such is true….
True love, because it’s not real, or right,
From what you show me,
Hope is no where in sight…..
