She didn't understand that he never change.
She turned to drinkin, only to make things worse
She began hitting her kids, taking out her agression, her pain, out on them
She loved this man with all her heart, but the feeling wasnt returned
It started off with just a fat liip but was soon to get worse
The man saying he loved her but showed it with fists
If she could have walked away she would be here today
These kids left with nowhere to go, nobody to talk to, grow up to be scum
The daughter turns to the knife, as the son turns to crime
All because a mother couldn't walk away
