Sweet Virginia

Melrose Street

Sweet Virginia

On a rainy day in April,
The chaos had begun,
Nobody must have told that boy,
To never play with guns,
It's hard to believe,
He was just somebody's son,
Nobody could of guessed,
What was to be done...

Sweet Virginia
Mamas are crying for you
Holding daddy's hand
Saying how can this be true,
Sweet Vriginia,
Sweet Virginia...

No emotion filled his eyes,
When he stormed through the door,
Virginia ran away,
To live for so much more,
She heard the sounds,
Of a morbid tomb,
She wanted nothing more,
Than to be back at home with you...

A 6 ft hole and flowers all around,
People all dressed in black,
Sweet Virginia in the ground,
And she's never coming back,
Hymnals, apologies
And prayers to carry you through
Sweet Virginia
We are praying for you

Sweet Virginia....
