Let the Sad Songs Play

It’s just another moment

inside just another random day

brought along by heavy hearts

that have been broken in every way.

So just for this moment in the space of time,

hit repeat and let the sad songs play.

Wanting to find that cheer,

happiness slowly drifting from sight

as out of the duct escapes a tear

one by which far will not be the last to fall.

This heart has but one request,

to hit repeat and let the sad songs play.

The mood seems right,

just after another fight

as which happens per usual.

Can’t fight this feeling,

the one that is telling me to just…

I just feel

so broken and confused

not really knowing

what to do with you.

Should I curse your name,

cry out to the sky?

You’ve got me running in circles

and I don’t even know why.

Just tell me what to do.

Where do we go from here?

I don’t want to stop,

but you haven’t shown the signal for go.

These emotions have me ruffled

and I don’t know what else to do

but hit repeat and let the sad songs play.
