Lies Are All You Are

“I like you”…

you stir my interest

I want to know you

as there’s something there

that sparks my interest,

whets my appetite

while making me crave more

but these words to me

are just lies

“I care for you”…

I long for you,

feelings digging deep

more than like

but not yet love.

Coming to the point

that you is all I think about

on my mind all day

wondering how you are

if you’re happy or you’re sad

this feeling drives me mad

but all of this

can’t be true,

they’re just lies

“I love you”…

I’m crazy about you

my thirst for you is insatiable

you drive me insane

I can’t get enough

my heart beats furiously

trying to escape its cavity

inside of my chest

whenever you’re around

but these little words

are just lies

These words have been said

but mean nothing to me

as the feelings behind them

simply all lies

You’re fooling yourself!

thinking someone could love you

pitiful,

your far away dreams

waiting patiently for your knight

all spiffed up,

but never to come

He doesn’t really care,

it’s all in your head

never has and never will.

He just fed you lies

to keep you by his side

telling you that

you’re beautiful,

he cares about you

but worst of all

those three words

“I love you”

are complete bullshit

Forget the time,

all those butterflies inside

it doesn’t matter anymore

as your heart crumbles upon the floor.

To him, you’re just a waste of time

since lies are all you are
