Fight
I’ve always hated you.Forever sitting with your books and papers sifting through your notebook, searching for a smile.Hoping for the day you’d find it. It wouldn’t hurt to tell him. He’s sitting just across from you.But you’re reduced to a puddle of emotions, Too embarrassing to speak with. You wandered up to him sputtered out a “hi”Peeling off your fears for just a tiny moment. What’s wrong, you feared he’d say,The sun is grinning, why aren’t you?You knew he was suspicious and you cried, cried, cried for help, but no one came. He noticed white lines cutting back and forth across your armsbut only looked past you in silence, unwilling to speak.Your pleas just were not loud enough, to be heard above your fears. Simply standing in your silence only makes it worse. He’s gawking at you now drowning in your weakness.Tries to push the awkward truth away with polite lies. He knows and turns away—happily forgetting the uncomfortable encounter:how pathetic that you are. I’m through and so are you.So take it, make it deep.
Just finish it.
