Silent Confessions

I’m caught in a trap,

In one that I made.

So hard to get out,

I can’t make the grade.

I’m not good enough.

Not for you or for me.

Just look at my life.

And what will you see?

Anger, resentment,

Passion and fear.

I try to escape.

These feelings held dear.

But I’m just too weak.

The emotion too strong.

I’m dying inside.

Just knowing I’m wrong.

I’m sorry I hurt you.

I’m sorry, it’s true.

But I’m trapped in this place.

And I just can’t get through.

And so here I stand.

Caught in this prison.

Of emotions and lies.

Never forgiven.
