Blackened Rose

My eyes grow pale with all these feelings of loneliness,and in my chest where my heart should be,there's a lingering emptiness.

This burning pain of emptiness never seem to subside,as i bury my heartache deep on the inside.

In my despair i slowly drown, as a  paralyzing numbness contricts my chest.

It is to it's grasp that i succumb,unable to even take a breath.

I say im awake,but i feel like im dreaming.

Although im silent on the outside my heart is screaming.

I'm suffocating inside even though it appears im breathing.

My heart has long been dead even though it's still beating.

I want to recapture the feeling of being alive.

I want to shatter the numbess that confines me inside.

I will no longer be infected by a defective vein,

I won't leave here the broken person that i came.

My heart has become like the petals of a withered blackened rose,

but i will no longer just stand here and watch it decompose....
