Bowl of my blood.
All we are is but dust in the wind.
Search as we may, but forgotten is the end.
In this world we can never win.
All we are is but dust in the wind.
My emtpyness swallows me whole,
my tears gathered in the dark bowl,
the happiness never holds,
my god, this world is always cold.
My pulse quickens at the sight of my blood,
I see the sweet beauty in the crimson flood,
cakeing around my fingers like dried mud,
in this world I've found no love.
In my world comes a pause
searching silently for a cause
no surprise when none is found
I lay my head on the ground
As I lay in the pouring rain
no longer bound by life's chains
no longer full of endless pain
As I lay dead in the pouring rain

| I like the use of words and language, but for me the end is too pathetic and hopeless. If you're still alive ;-) that means you still have hope, now matter how much one tries to deny it. So I'd liked the poem to reflect that, as painful as having near hopeless hope is. It can be even more dark. I won't vote for it coz I think suicide is the lowest act of cowardice. And I expect you have more "balls" than that. :-) |
