You Know You Must Like Someone |
Eleanor Said
Eleanor said that you can't be made inferior
Without the consent of your cold dark interior
That's not what she meant
But that thought left a dent
You only fail without trying and that's the line that they feed you
And maybe that's true just not in high school
For the moment my truth is you can't fail without tryin'
My heart is breaking from the physical pain and emotional distress
But hey, Disney says that may be the best
The pain will build you up and make you stronger
It seems to only make the day last longer
Human nature is to boost yourself up or beat yourself down
Everyday is different but I'm still around
Snarky comments and rude remarks alike
And most of them all the same
Always somehow include my name
"Drop some pounds and get a tan"
Go fuck yourself
"Go get a man"
Someone has to come in last and clap for the first
Rejected by the winners
More rejection from the losers
Where does that leave you?
And what does that make you?
The scum of the Earth?
Certainly the title leaves a wide birth
