Hope

I am lost and you have found me;

I have little self-esteem until you give me a much needed boost-

Everyone is blind to the truth but you can see.

You are what I would call a miracle;

You give me hope.

I am young and have already had enough pain to last a lifetime;

You are kind and caring-

You have taken the time to get to know me.

Even though I barely know myself;

You give me hope.

Growing up I=ve seen the world;

People and their negativity-

They always say I will never find happiness.

But again you give me hope.

People talk about you;

They deceive you-

Then you, being who you are

Forgive them-

You are full of hope.

I was young and didn=t understand;

I almost gave up.

Then you, being so wise and loving;

Had faith in me-

You gave me hope.

You have opened my eyes;

Showed me the beauty on the inside.

We=ve learned together,

Though some think us crazy.

You know of a better life, you know what is right--
