Simply Perfect
To live a simple life, is to be caged,
Everyday would be depthless, another chronicle in the sameness,
The potential would be held back and thus the wings clipped,
Simple dreams and simple hopes coming so easily you barely have to lift a finger,
There is black and white, but no shades of gray in between,
No sufferings,
No hardships,
No love,
Life would be perfect,
Perfectly simple without the feelings and emotions to guide and tempt your will,
You hear the thumping of your heart, but is it really there?
Is it just an illusion to make you feel alive when you are really far from it?
I hear the beat and see the rising of the air, but as I look into the shallow eyes of the perfect person I only see the hollowness within.
