Vengeance
As I watched you walk away,
I struggled to believe
Every lie you spoke,
And I tried to see
How all the pain you caused
Was for me.
When you left me for dead,
And you bried my heart,
The pain was too much
And I couldn't forget.
I want to forgive.
I want to be free of this hate.
But it's too late now.
My vengeance is eating me alive.
