I have been going on and on all damn month,

Telling myself I need to call him.

I finally had the nerve to do so today.

The phone rang and rang for a good thirty seconds.

I paused as your mother answered the phone.

She called out your name.

There was a good minute of silence,

I grew worried, and my stomach was tense,

I didn't think I had a chance...

When you said hello, I didn't think it was you,

Your voice changed so much,

And I was about to hang up.

I asked him if he remembered me,

And you wanna know exactly what he said?

No.

Today, I wanna be washed away,

And let my tears stream down my cheek,

Today, I wanna stand out in the rain,

And let rain wash me away,

To me I feel like it ain't worth living, anymore...

I know, I can't continue on like this,

I know, he's not worth crying over,

I know, I may have changed,

But I wish he'd still remember me,

Good friends always will,
