Shattered

Shattered

I am all alone

sliding down the wall

shattered by these thoughts

I curl up in a ball

Tears well in my eyes

my body starts to shake

I go completely numb

then comes a splitting headache

The sobbing starts

I’m gasping for breath

my shoulders shudder

until no tears are left

sitting on the floor

i wipe up my tears

if only i could sleep

through these horrible years
