I will never have you

and that’s a fact I know

for you’re too good for me

and my feelings shall never show

I’ll just sit and admire

your wonderful personality

dreaming of us together

but knowing it won’t be a reality

I need to convince myself

that nothing will happen between us

I should tell myself I’ll get hurt

or assure myself it’s all lust

But I can’t stop thinking about you

and the moments that we’ve had

whenever I’d talk to you I was nervous

and to see you made me so glad

I need to decipher what is reality

otherwise I’ll get lost in my dreams

I know that you and I will never be

If only I could be more serene
