I pray to you.

Lord I pray to you tonight
for all the help I can get
to bring me out of this dark slump
and show me a world
that I've never seen
a world I can never forget
but as far as I know it doesn't exist
because every good things has its flaw
and every bad thing comes to often
like the repetitiveness of a broken record
reminding me of the bad
refusing to let me be happy
requiring me to be sad
and when I look into the future
I see nothing but mistakes
like this is the way it'll always be
stuck like this forever
so I'll never be free
but I won't let this come true
I won't, I won't it will not happen
I'm the writer, I alter how it ends
and it'll end with happiness, love, and friends
so God help me with this story
I pray to you tonight
set me free of this depression
help me make everything go right.
