No biting please, I just got my shots. My sister is a big fan as well, above average in reading for her age (so it's not like I think that only stupid people like the book). It is a bad book, it's like a worse version of The Silver Kiss (which was an okay book at best). Purple prose, a bad case of Mary Sue'ism, clunky childish writing, and it reads like a fanfic wish fulfillment fantasy that never should have seen the light of day.

Now, I don't think that just because it's a bad book, people shouln't read it or like it. Nothing wrong with liking a bad book/movie/food. I myself am very fond of the movie "Serenity"...horrible movie, but I love it. I just get annoyed by people calling it the greatest book ever written...cause it's not.
