D.R.I.'s (Drunken related injuries)

So last night after copious amounts of cheeky vimtos (a mixture of port and some blue raspberry vodka alchopop) I got back to my friends flat and crashed out on the sofa. Waking up 30 minutes later at about 5am in the pitch black needing to answer the call of nature I fumbled around to find the door handle. Grabbing what I thought was the door knob and tugging hard I remember vaguely a moment of confusion when I wondered why the door was coming towards me in a downward motion instead of opening sidewards. It wasn't until my friends heavy shelving unit had landed on top of me I realised my error. DOH! I now have an impressive lumpy bruise on my ankle to show for it. It struck me that this is my first DRI (Drunken related injury) in quite some time.

What are you worst or most comedic D.R.I. moments?

i have army crawled through the swamp while drunk out of my mind, all i could see was a light in the distance which i thought was my friends garage, it turned out to be the house on the other side of the swamp. It all happened as i tried to pee off the side of a steep cliff. I slipped and fell down, became discombobulated because of all the beerbongs and shots of jack daniels i had taken prior. the owner of the house greated me because apparently i had been yelling obsentities while struggling throught the swamp. He gave me a ride home and i slept on my front porch covered in mud. i woke with numerous bruises and cuts all over my legs, chest and stomach.

My worst run of DRI's was when my friend and I went on holiday to Italy when I was 21. Having already gotton the biggest bruise of my life drunkenly running into a tiny post on the beach that sprung outta no where while I was trying to do my best baywatch impression late one night, falling on my arse when trying to climb onto the top bunk of a set of bunk beds, we decided to risk a boat trip. During the trip fish and wine were served. The wine was soooo cheap and very strong and we drank lots. So we had climbed up onto the roof of the boat and were getting all of the passengers to join with us in the actions to YMCA. haha. It was all going so well until we stopped and had to get back down. I went to climb back down the ladder to get off, only I had decided to face out instead of in for some reason. I missed my footing on the first step and literally flew straight down onto my bottom on the deck. Luckily the alcohol left me just finding it hilarious and it did mean hunky Italian men surrounded me to make sure I was ok. I was brusied for weeks after that holiday though. haha.

i came home one night (after having worked as a shot girl, throwing em back right along with my customers), it was upside down tequila shots, and that night we had a patro'n special, and i love snobby tequila, so needless to say i was hammered and in heels, i twisted my ankle into a god awful position in my front yard, it was injured for over a month, i had to work out with ankle support, sometimes it still hurts when i sit on it the wrong way.
