Emergency response time

Does it normally only take 45 seconds for police vehicles to show up at a crash? The only logical explanation I can figure for such a situation is that a cop car was already nearby.

I'm curious, though. Quite an abnormal situation. Some guy was driving around 90 miles an hour on the street next to the house (people love to race down it, it’s a nice stretch of road). This was at 1 AM. I heard him speed, lose control, then crash. I went out, saw that he had run into one of the massive trees planted in the barricade and I saw no police in pursuit. I saw no movement from the driver so I went to get the phone to call the authorities. By the time I got back out there, which was no more than 45 seconds later, police cars were already arriving. Another twenty seconds, a fire truck and an ambulance. 2 minutes later a tow truck. They didn’t treat him as a suspect. They all ran up to the door immediately to check on him.

I’m still trying to figure 45 seconds for the initial vehicles.

He would be if he just found out the cure to AIDS and Cancer and beat Chuck Norris in a kickboxing tournament.

Perhaps. With my driving however, I'd rather go with the idea that that is a normal occurence.

Maybe it was planned!
They cut his brakes on purpose to teach him a lesson.

I don't know, the cops could be evil though.

Yeah, that's more believable.

I don't know what our cops excuse was. It was noon and she didn't look like she had had too many donuts recently.

That does seem logical. It was probably that time of night to make a donut run, though. Maybe they have priorities?

Odd thing is, we have a terribly police force. Not enough people employed, violent cops regardless.

You, too? Some guy broke into my house. It only took them an hour. I told them I was black.

When someone broke into our house it took them two hours to come.

That was even after we told them they could still be in the house.
We even told them we were white!!!

What the hell took them so long???

True. Although to his credit, I can't be certain that he was drunk. I didn't walk all the way up to his side of the car. I just went up far enough to see if he was still breathing, which I couldn't tell in the dark.

I'm not sure if he was even alive. If he wasn't, that proves that dead people are more important than live kids.
