Twilight < Sunshine

For all of you that are obsessing over the former title, I recommend you read Robin McKinley’s Sunshine since I’m certain all of you already know of Anne Rice. It's a book containing vampires, that actually has quality, and was written by an individual who actually can write... The really awesome part of this deal is that you’ll have a first person narrative not given by a witless wonder of an excuse for a heroine.

Why do I care? Because I do. So humor me, if you wish.

its not bad. its kinda of corny and oozes with conservative values tho. But its got lots of action, and it can be suspenseful...i tend not watch television on a daily basis tho...i find shows tend to lead to disappointment in one way or another.

Yeah, what makes it even worse is she was found in a garden with a sign in the background that says "the gardener did it!"

Somehow everyone still missed the signs.

ive actually noticed that as well. It does get irritating, and some scripts tend to beat a dead horse as they say

Some things are best left unexplained.

I mean look how bad CSI is now that they have to explain every little thing for the more stupid viewers.

Look, the semen found in our victim matches the DNA of our gardener. That means the gardener is the murderer.

yes. there definitely were symbolic elements (the ship ironically being name icarus).

Alot movies nowadays dont feel the need to explain themselves tho. I just saw the Good Shepard. Now im looking it up on wikipedia to figure certain elements of the plot that didnt make any sense to me.

I don't recall that particular scene, but if I did I would also have a problem with it.

Unless you interpreted it as the fallibility of mankind and the power our own deluded convictions weild. However I found more realism than symbolism in the movie and would wish for consistency to avoid confusion.

yes it was a good movie. My only problem was that scene where mr.crispy is lifting up kapa with one hand. I couldnt understand how i guy who on a daily basis was exposing himself to radiation for years could be so physically strong and alert.

*laughter* No vampires to speak of. Although the crazed Mr. Crispy man running around naked was just as entertaining. Good movie. It didn't so thoroughly botch the science as far as I could tell.
