You kind of just have to leave things be and play themselves out and push at the right moments when there needs to be a push. If he's happy with the other girl let him be, if it's meant to be it'll will happen some way or another.

I did. Sometimes things work out, like my boy ended up ending the relationship with his gf badly because he secretly liked me and the other girl knew. He asked me out and now we're going on two years now : )
