I am not sure I should do this...but one just came on that reminds me of an EX. I wrote this quite some time ago...like to read it here it goes.

This song reminds me. It reminds me of a night. A night where I planed to meet Amanda in New York somewhere. The half way point was the Vince Lombardi Rest Stop. Well 120 miles from me and 80 miles from her. There was no reason besides we missed each other. There were great plans…but when we met we didn’t want to risk the moment. I tell you there is ghosts. I still see them there.

I remember walking in and expecting the same black hair I remember….I saw blue dreadlocks and bull piercing…I was in love again instantly. Just a trashy Burger King line at a truck stop. Why did she even bother to come this far? The look in her eyes. The new look on her flesh. It’s still the same. Amanda. We eat we talk. We stare. It’s alien but still all the same. Foreign and familiar. What else is new. It’s pain, it’s sweet surrender. A sweet moment in a filthy setting….typical. We have to leave.

I remember her wink. I remember her leave. I remember her look. I remember her hold on as she left…down a road I wasn’t going on.

I was on the George Washington Bridge and this song came on. I called her. I told her the station it was on. She had to hear this song with me. Of all the songs we shared. I remember her telling me that moment meant a lot to her then…now I don’t know. Now I don’t care. Fuck her. But that moment. That moment is dead now. And I missed it.
