Question

Okay. So, I have three dogs and one cat. Well, yesterday, it was really hot, and after I let the dogs in, they kept panting. I know they can't sweat, so they pant. But then my cat wanted to go outside today, and I couldn't help but wonder.



Do cats sweat, pant, or neither?

im pretty sure they pant, just as dogs do, because they have no sweat glands so they have to pant to release hot air

Neither. Cats almost always have their mouth's closed and their body temperatures are at pace. They sit in the shade so they don't heat up and then lick themselves to cool down :)

Hm. I've never seen my cat pant. But I guess it makes sense for them to clean themselves with it.

cats produce sweat the same way dogs do.............through their saliva, only cats don't drool, they clean themeselves with it
