Why is it?

That those who do not believe in god go so far out of their way to mock the beliefs of others? As long as someone is not preaching to you, you should respect their beliefs. If you mock other peoples religion directly without cause, you are no better than a religious person pushing their beliefs on you.

I agree with you Maui. Some people do go very far out of their way to mock others' beliefs. I think it has to do with insecurity but I'm no psychiatrist lol. But a question I have regarding your above statements is... if a person is preaching to you, are you justified in not respecting their beliefs?
