26. A day in the life

As he woke up, in to another day of his fearful life, he asked him self why must he go on, he knew that he was underestimated, and not appreciated. His once so called friends, who always said that they would be by his side were gone. Nothing made sense any more. It seemed know one cared. These were the same thought that ran through his mind ever morning, before he got out of bed. As he walk to the door of his room, he looked to see the Emo poster bands hanging on his walls preaching at him to end his life, which only brought back the repercussion of memories of why his friends left him. Finally he made it to his door, praying that the things that inside his room would not follow him out.

He headed to the shower only 10 feet away, the one place where he could relax to ease his pains away, but the thought of that was cut short, by the screaming of his parents fight upstairs. The yelling he had become accustom to, the slamming of doors, and the roaring of the engine in his mothers car as it pulled out of the drive way. The shower he was looking forward to was ruined by the thoughts of what his father had done this time.

He got dressed, putting on his dark clothes, the ones that all the preppy kids mocked at school and screamed out “emo kid,” “cutter” and so on and so forth. He climbed up the stairs the 7 stairs he counted every day to the kitchen that he found was empty, There was no kisses and hugs, in the mornings, no lunches made for school, no “hello sweetie how are you” , there was broken glass, and unclean dishes, on the table where he should find milk and cereal, he found there was cigarette butts, and lighter fluid. He grabbed his books and head for the door. Praying even harder that this time the horrors would not follow him out side.

As he walked down the street to the school where no matter what a student did the preppy ones ruled the school. He seen the yellow busses that the average students rode, and than the fancy sports cars the only the rich kids drove, he crossed the grass and headed up the stairs to open the doors to the place he never wanted to go. He walked done the hallways with his head looking to the floor, hoping not to catch a glimpse of the eyes looking him down, and cancelling out the harsh words that were said. He went to his first class to only sit at the back of the room quiet and alone with nothing to do, the laughter around him made him think of his old friends, the old times and the old ways, long gone with no way to get them back. He almost had tears in his eyes, but held them in for no one can see him cry.

After school he was about to walk home all alone, for what seemed like the millionth time when a girl walked up beside him, he did not know her name who she was or where she was from but, she started taking to he telling him things would be ok, and just to hang in there, she said she had to go, but before she did she set a red book with a worn out spine on his binder, he looked down to see the title of the book it read HOLY BIBLE, words he had not herd sense he was a little kid. As he looked up she was gone.
